Master Class: Cake Decoration Flowers Workshop

5 Tuesday evenings: March 8, 15, 22, 29, April 5, 6:30 – 10:30 pm

Appropriate for intermediate to advanced decorators. Price of class includes a student tool kit. All decorating done on premises, during class.

An introduction to the art of decorating cakes with life-like flowers made out of gum paste (a.k.a. sugarpaste). In this five day workshop, Chef will teach the class how to turn gum paste in to a variety of stunning flowers and floral bouquets using specialized cutters and free form techniques. If you’ve ever seen a wedding cake adorned with realistic looking, colorful flowers and wanted to swoon, this class is for you.

Master Class: Cake Decorating for Beginners

Five Monday evenings, March 7, 14, 21, 28, April 4, 6:30 – 9:30 pm

Appropriate for beginners. Learn the basics of cake decoration in this hands on, intensive class.

Topics include:

- How to make three kinds of buttercream
- basic piping technique
- icing the cake, borders, basket weaves, loops
- basic piped flowers including roses, daises and pansies
- how to make and work with royal icing and meringue

This class is great for those who are just starting out and want to learn the right techniques for decorating cakes using buttercream and a piping bag. Call to register today!
